The nature of the information here
Munich Tourism Guide publishes editorial travel guides. It is general information, not personal advice, and it is emphatically not legal, immigration, medical, financial or safety advice.
Travel information about Munich goes out of date faster than most. Oktoberfest runs on dates set annually and tent reservation windows open and close without much warning. MVV and MVG fares are revised each January and the ring-zone boundaries have been redrawn before. Deutsche Bahn timetables change twice a year. Museums alter their opening hours, their free days and their special-exhibition pricing continually, and Bavarian public holidays close a great deal of the city at short notice for anyone unfamiliar with the calendar. Everything we publish was accurate to the best of our knowledge when it was written or last revised. None of it is guaranteed to be accurate today.
Verify anything your trip depends on — dates, prices, opening hours, entry requirements, ticket validity — with the operator, venue or authority concerned before you commit money or time to it. Where a decision has a cost attached, treat this site as a starting point and the operator as the answer.

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything published here — including missed trains, closed venues, sold-out tents, refused entry, or any cost incurred on the strength of information that turned out to be superseded.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Links to other sites
We link out to transport operators, museums, ticket sellers, the city of Munich and government sources so that you can confirm current information at its source. Those sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, their pricing, their terms, or how they handle your data, and a link is not an endorsement. Once you leave munichtourism.org, that site’s own terms and privacy policy apply to you.
Intellectual property
The text, structure and original photography on this site belong to Munich Tourism Guide unless credited otherwise. Some images are licensed from third parties or used under their own licences, and those licences travel with the image, not with this site.
You may read, print and share our pages for your own non-commercial use, and you may quote us with attribution and a link. You may not republish a guide in whole or substantial part, sell it, use it to train a model, or present it as your own work. Requests to do anything beyond that are welcome through the contact page and are usually granted.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to interfere with the site’s operation, scrape it at a rate that degrades service for other readers, circumvent any technical restriction, or use it for anything unlawful. Comments are not enabled, so there is no user-generated content on this site.
Advertising
The site is supported by third-party display advertising. Advertisements are selected and served by advertising partners, not by us, and their appearance next to a guide is not an endorsement of the advertiser by Munich Tourism Guide, nor of the guide by the advertiser.
